Does Skin Camouflage hurt?
The Skin Camouflage treatment involves penetrating the skin with a needle, so you can expect some level of discomfort. Our technician will manage this discomfort and assess your pain levels throughout the treatment. A topical anesthetic can be applied to numb the area if you're pain-sensitive, although this is often not necessary.
How does it Look Immediately Afterward?
You can expect there to be some minor swelling and redness after being treated, with some experiencing a bit of oozing as the natural healing fluid works. Within the first week of the treatment, there might be a bit of peeling of the skin while the healing procedure is underway. Don’t be concerned that the color of the skin is darker than the remainder of your skin, this will eventually settle down.

As long as you’re getting the treatment done by a qualified, experienced technician, then the Skin Camouflage is completely safe. The various components of the equipment will be completely pre-packaged and sterilized with medical-grade needles used. The organic ink pigmentation is also natural and safe to use on the skin, making this a safe treatment overall.
When will I see Results?
The healing process usually takes up to 10 days, but you can expect the area to completely settle in 4 to 6 weeks after your initial consultation. You might need a touch-up visit if the color hasn’t blended sufficiently into the remainder of the skin but it will already look much better.
How Long Does Skin Camouflage Last?
This is a semi-permanent "tattoo" which means that the color will last somewhere between 3 and 5 years. If you find the color is beginning to fade, you’ll simply have to stop in for a touch-up treatment which will last years.
Several factors can impact how long the Skin Camouflage lasts. Scar tissue and stretch marks are difficult to penetrate which is why the thickness and location can impact how long the ink will last. Your lifestyle factors, including UV exposure, diet, chemical exposure and more can lead to premature fading of the color.
